Kids under 13 are not allowed to have their own YouTube channel, so if your child falls under this age, you will need to set it up and run it for them and with them.

Starting your channel can be a fun and rewarding experience for you and your little ones.

To get your YouTube channel up and running, you must set it up with the necessary information and settings. 

Start by creating a Google account if you don't already have one. 

Then, go to YouTube and sign in using your Google account.

Click on your profile picture and select "Create a channel."

Choose a name for your channel that reflects your content and target audience. 

Next, customize your channel by adding a profile picture and channel art. 

You can also create a channel trailer to introduce viewers to your content.

Remember to fill out your channel description and add relevant keywords to help people find your videos.

With these steps, your YouTube channel will be ready to go!

Terms of using a Peloton Referral Code

A Peloton user can give out six referral codes a year.

You can do this if you are an app user, only an all-access user.

The referral code can be used to buy accessories bought at the same time as the Bike or Tread and must be entered at checkout.

It must be used simultaneously as the purchase of the Bike or Tread. It cannot be applied retroactively.

If you purchase hardware at a showroom with a referral code, you can let an employee know, and they will apply it for you at the time of purchase. This is how I did it in 2017 when I bought my first bike!

If you have shared a referral code, you will get an email with your $100 apparel discount voucher within a few days. The voucher is good for 6 months.

I do not write about it on my website, but one of my children has Autism and ADHD. On a previous theme park trip, she had trouble waiting in line and had a lot of anxiety dealing with the crowd and tight feeling of the line of people.

While researching Disney, I came across the Disability Access Service known as DAS.

I had never heard of this before reading about it on another website. I was trying to educate myself on Genie+ and lightning lanes when I came across it. It can be confusing and overwhelming, and I was worried we might have a stressful experience navigating this. 

DAS ended up being an excellent service that made our trip incredible.

What is DAS at Disney?

DAS is a registration system for guests with disabilities that prevent them from standing in line. It lets you wait in line virtually and return at your assigned time rather than standing in line to wait. Once you return at your time or anytime after, you can use the lightning lane entrance to enter the ride.

The registered DAS guest must enter first and punch in before the party goes in. But everyone in the party may join with the registered DAS guest.

From the Disney World website:

Rather than waiting in a standard line, those registered for DAS can remain in a virtual queue and return at a predetermined time.

• DAS is intended for Guests who have difficulty tolerating extended waits in a conventional queue environment due to a disability.
•  DAS doesn't provide immediate access to experiences but instead allows Guests to request a return time for a specific experience that is comparable to the current standby wait. This allows the guest using DAS to enjoy other experiences in the park instead of physically waiting in the standby line.
•  The guest who is requesting to use DAS must be present during registration (in person or live video call) and when redeeming a DAS return time at Walt Disney World theme parks. The guest using DAS doesn't need to be present when a return time is requested at an attraction or any Guest Relations location.
•  Once registered, DAS is valid for up to 60 days.
•  Two exciting new features have been added to the DAS program: (1) the opportunity to pre-register via live video call and use DAS Advance pre-arrival planning and (2) a convenient way to receive DAS return times through the My Disney Experience app.

Who is eligible for DAS?

Guests with any physical or mental condition that affects their ability to wait in a standard queue for an extended wait may qualify for a DAS.

There is a broad range of disabilities that may be eligible for DAS. Autism is one that I have seen typically almost always allowed.

How do I register for DAS?

Previously you had to go to guest services in the park to register on the day of your visit, but you can now pre-register for DAS online up to 30 days in advance using live video chat.

You will first meet with a cast member to determine eligibility.

The guest using DAS must be present for the live chat. This concerned me a bit as my daughter did not want to wait around to chat with somebody, but I was able to pull her in quickly, and it went fine.

While you can pre-register 30 days before a park visit, it must also be at least 2 days before arrival.

During the registration chat, you can also work with a cast member to book up to 2 one-hour return windows for select experiences using the DAS Advance planning option.

This allows you to book two experiences (rides or attractions) beforehand. Then when you get to the park, you may also make additional DAS selections on the day of your visit.

My experience with DAS pre-registration

I had no idea how this live chat would go, so I was nervous. Especially since my daughter doesn't like talking to strangers, especially over a video chat.

I also had yet to learn how picking the attractions to book ahead of time would go.

My children and I watched many videos ahead of time to understand what rides my daughter would like.

I also read that the chat wait times, such as 9 hours or more, can be insanely long.

So I told her I would log on, see what was happening, and call her when I had someone available. The initial chat was just the chat box on the website.

Here are a few things to have done before you start from Disney:

• Add your travel party to your Family & Friends list, so they can be included in DAS plans
•  Link valid theme park admission for each member of your party
•  Ensure that the guest who is requesting to use DAS is present at the time of registration, either via live video chat or at one of the Guest Relations Main Entrance locations

Luckily for me, the wait time was only about 15 minutes. The first cast member on the chat asked when our park visit was and if we qualified for DAS.

We were transferred to another cast member for the live video part. This was brief. The cast member talked to my daughter and verified her disability.

We then transferred back to a chat to make pre-registration selections. They had me fill out a form for each park with our requests and what times we preferred.

And then we got it back with the registered selections. We did not get everything I chose or the times I picked, but it still was close enough.

Altogether it was an easy process and worth doing if you have a family member with a disability.

How to use DAS once you are at Disney

Once you get to Disney, you can use the My Disney Experience app to make selections once in the park. You must be in the park to use it, though. It will not show up before you are in the park.

Instead of going to an experience or a kiosk to obtain a return time from a cast member, guests registered in the DAS program and their party can now make return time selections right from the My Disney Experience app during the day while in the park.

Any member of a DAS party can obtain a return time for the whole party, but the registered guest using DAS must be present when the return time is redeemed.

You can only make one selection at a time, and they do not expire. So, we would make a selection, go to the ride, check in, and then I would get on the app and make the following selection.

It worked out great for us. And no stress if we did not get to the next ride at the return time since the time did not expire.

If you do not have a mobile device, you can still go to guest relations or the ride to request a return time.

How to Access the DAS Return Time Self-Selection Tool

Once in the park, open the My Disney Experience app and sign in to your Disney account.

Tap the "More" option at the bottom right of the welcome screen. Then, tap on the Disability Access Service (DAS) button to enter the self-selection area.

The tool can be accessed from the attraction detail screen too. I would scroll through my day tips, look at rides or attractions we wanted to go on, and then click DAS to book.

Do I need Disney Genie + with DAS?

I was very unsure of this since this was the first time I had been to Disney World. Our first park was Magic Kingdom, and I was so worried we would miss out I bought Genie+ the first day and booked a couple of rides at 7AM.

Genie+ is a whole other blog post; plenty are out there if you want to know how it works. Between Genie+, lightning lanes, and DAS, it can get confusing.

I also bought an individual lightning lane for another ride I knew we wanted to do.

You only need Genie+ if you have limited time to visit and want to maximize your time. I did not feel we needed it at all.

After the two rides I booked, we did not use it again, and I did not purchase it again for the rest of our trip. And we visited every park and Magic Kingdom twice.

Does using a wheelchair or scooter qualify for DAS?

A scooter or wheelchair does not qualify for DAS. According to Disney, depending on the experience, the guest will either wait in the standard queue or receive a return time to the attraction.

Conclusion

The DAS Disney pass was terrific for us and helped maximize the trip and ensure my daughter and the entire family could enjoy it.

I have heard some people choose to abuse it, and that really is a shame. Disney is trying to go above and beyond to accommodate all guests.

I was intimidated by the registration process, but it was pretty easy and 100% worth it.

Peloton rides are known for their excellent playlists, and years ago, we could not save the great music we heard on a ride or run. But now we can!

Peloton added the functionality to favorite a song you hear in a class by clicking on a heart next to it. 

When you do this it will add the song to a Peloton music playlist on Apple Music or Spotify if this feature is set up.

Connecting Peloton to Apple Music and Spotify is easy, and I will tell you how here.

We can access vast music catalogs and create customized playlists from the music heard during Peloton workouts by connecting these services. 

Setting up the connection to Apple Music or Spotify

With Peloton, it is possible to connect both Apple Music and Spotify, providing users with an expansive library of songs to save on a personal playlist.

Connecting either service to your Peloton is a relatively simple process that can be completed in just a few steps.

To connect Apple Music or Spotify to your Peloton, you will need the account login credentials for the streaming service you want to use. 

Once you have those ready, you must open the settings menu on your Peloton device, which can be found at the bottom left corner of the touchscreen.

From there, scroll down and select 'Music' followed by 'Connect Apple Music' or 'Connect Spotify', depending on which service you want to link up with. 

You will then be prompted for login credentials for the chosen streaming service, and once entered, your account will be connected and ready for use.

Once these playlists are connected to Peloton, you will see them listed in Apple Music or Spotify as "My Peloton Music by " with your bike username.

Tips and tricks

Now that you have successfully connected your Peloton to either Apple Music or Spotify, it is time to take advantage of these streaming services' many benefits.

Linking to Apple Music or Spotify allows you to access songs saved directly from your Peloton. 

Here are a few helpful tips for connecting to Spotify or Apple Music. 

First, ensure that the Peloton app and the streaming service are up-to-date.

Ensure you have the credentials for the app you want to connect to and for your bike.

Then link your account by entering your credentials on the settings page in the Peloton app.

If you have any issues with any of this, try rebooting your Peloton bike or Tread.

Can you listen to your own music on Peloton?

Many users may wonder if they can listen to their music on Peloton.

You cannot directly play music on the Peloton Bike or Tread from your Apple Music or Spotify account. 

I have seen other articles that are misleading on this topic. Unless there is a hack I am unaware of (like the hack the watch Netflix on the bike), you cannot stream actual playlists from Spotify or Apple Music through the Peloton cycle. 

You will only be listening to your music while working out by listening to it via your device (phone or speaker).

Connecting to these streaming services from the Peloton hardware saves the music you hear during rides or runs to a Peloton music playlist.

You can also do a "just run" or "just ride" workout and listen to your music via an external speaker or headphones and your phone.

The ability to connect Peloton to Apple Music and Spotify and save the songs you love is an excellent feature for Peloton users.

The 6 Quart is the size I would have bought if I didn't know better and if I had gotten it in time.

But it sold out quickly, and then there was a new Prime Day deal on an Instant Pot 8 Quart.

I spent a lot of time vacillating if I wanted an 8 quart or if it was too big.

I wanted to avoid another large appliance taking up space on my counter.

I ordered the 8 Quart to get the deal, but I immediately researched whether it would be too big.

Understanding Instant Pot Sizes

Instant Pots come in various sizes, ranging from 3 quarts to 8 quarts. If you need help determining which size is best for your needs, it can be helpful to understand the sizes and what each one offers.

Generally speaking, larger Instant Pot models are better suited for larger families or those who like to cook big batches of food. A 6-quart pot is popular as it has enough room to make several meals simultaneously while still being easy to store and manage.

For smaller households or those who want something more compact, the 3-quart model might be a better fit. It's perfect for making single servings and quick meals that don't require many ingredients. Plus, it takes up less counter space than the larger models.

Whichever size you decide on, make sure it fits your lifestyle and cooking needs so you can get the most out of your Instant Pot!

Instant Pot 8 Quart vs 6 Quart and comparing the different Instant Pot sizes:

The 6 Quart and the 8 Quart are similar. The 6 Quart says it's good for four to six people, and the 8 Quart is for six plus or if you like to have leftovers or meal prep.

Most people who already have an Instant Pot say they would prefer a more oversized Instant Pot if they could get it.

I read many quotes like, "You can always make less food, but if your pot is too small, you cannot make more."

Better to have the bigger pot and not need it than to have the smaller pot and need to make more food.

This attitude sold me on the larger size and made me realize maybe I would not regret my purchase after all.

If you ever like to have leftovers or make freezer meals, the bigger size makes more sense.

After reading these thoughts, I was less concerned about my pot being too big and waited to get my 8 Quart Instant Pot.

Once I got it, it was manageable for me.

I have a family of five, and while my children do not always eat what I make, it is nice to make a large quantity of food if needed.

One of my concerns was how much space the Instant Pot would take on the counter, but I store it when it's not in use and then use it on my island so the steam is not hitting my cabinets.

It works out well and is not much bigger than my slow cooker.

At the time, the only deal on the Ultra Instant Pot was on the 8 Quart, and I love the Ultra model.

The Ultra model is one of the nicest Instant Pots, and the key feature I love is that it tells you how far along the cooking process is on the display.

It lets you know whether the pot is preheating, cooking, or cooking and keeping warm.

From what I understand, the other models need to tell you this.

Frequently asked questions about the Instant Pot - FAQ

Since I initially created this post to discuss whether the 8 Quart Instant Pot is too big, I have received a few other questions about it.

I am answering these below.

1. Can you cook small amounts in a large instant pot?

A concern raised is whether you can still cook small or even single-portion servings in the 6 or 8 Quart Instant Pot.

The answer is yes, you can!

You must add a minimum amount of water to your pot, depending on which size you have. As long as you have the correct minimum (found in the product manual), you cook any amount of food you prefer within the limits of the pot.

2. How can I tell if my Instant Pot is 6 or 8 Quart?

Some people purchase an Instant Pot or receive it as a gift and need to remember to check the box. You may not know what size you even have.

The easiest way to tell is by looking at the physical size of the pot.

The 6 Quart Instant Pot is 14x12x13 inches, according to the chart above. The 8 Quart Instant Pot is 15x14x15.

3. Do I need to adjust the 8 Quart Instant Pot recipes?

Most recipes I have found online are for the 6 Quart Instant Pot. I was worried about adjusting this to my 8 Quart pot until I tried it.

The only adjustment I have had to make to a recipe is ensuring I have enough water in my Instant Pot when using it for pressure cooking.

The 8 Quart needs about 1 and a half cups of water in it, and I usually add more to be safe.

The water requirements are in the manual that comes with it.

Other than that, I have yet to find a need to adjust recipes using an 8 Quart Instant Pot versus 6 Quart.

4. Does the 8-quart Instant Pot take longer to come to pressure than the 6-quart Instant Pot?

I have only used the 8 quarts and have yet to test this. But looking around the internet, most say the 8 quarts can take slightly longer to come to pressure. 

Generally, my Instant Pot takes about 10 minutes to come under pressure, so this is not a significant issue. Cooking times between all sizes of instant pots are the same, no matter the size.

I have used many 6-quart recipes in my 8-quart instant pot and have never noticed a difference in the time it took to cook vs. what is listed in the recipe.

5. Can I use my Instant Pot as an air fryer?

Instant Pot now sells a lid you can buy to make your Instant Pot an air fryer. This lid from Instant Pot only works on the 6 Quart!

But I recently bought a Mealthy CrispLid to make my 8 Quart Instant Pot into an air fryer. There are a couple of third-party ones that work with the 8 Quart.

No, you don't need additional accessories for your Instant Pot.

It has a few basic items suitable for most cooking needs, such as a steamer basket, rice paddle, soup spoon, and measuring cup.

If you want to make more complex dishes or specialize in specific cuisines, invest in some extra accessories available for your Instant Pot.

Accessories like yogurt makers, egg racks, and cake pans can give you more versatility when cooking with your Instant Pot.

8. How Easy Is It To Clean An Instant Pot?

Cleaning an Instant Pot is surprisingly easy.

The inner pot and the lid are dishwasher safe so you can pop them in.

Quickly hand wash them with warm water and a mild detergent if they're not too dirty.

All the other parts, like the sealing ring, steam rack, and condensation collector, are removable and easy to clean.

9. Is An Instant Pot Safe To Use?

Yes, an Instant Pot is safe to use. It has multiple safety features, such as a pressure regulator, lid lock, and anti-block shield.

The inner pot is food-grade 304 stainless steel, and all components that come in contact with food are BPA-free.

Each model also includes detailed safety precautions and instructions, so read them before using your Instant Pot.

I love my Peloton; if you look around my site a bit, you will see my obsession.

The built-in speaker on the Peloton tablet is okay, but the music isn't loud enough for me. One of the best parts of riding a stationary bike for me is the music and instructor. I like it loud.

I tried using various Bluetooth speakers, including an Amazon Echo and other brands, and the Echo works excellently as a speaker for the Peloton, but there are times (most of the time) I don't want my kids to hear the ride.

Plus, it still was less loud than having earbuds in your ear. I also tried using my husband's insane sound system, but it had a Bluetooth lag due to being across the room.

I tried other headphones, including the ones that Peloton sells themselves. But they were wired, and wires can be constraining on the bike. I tried my husband's Bluetooth headphones, and they were okay, too, but I wouldn't say I liked sharing.

Finally, I received AirPods for my birthday a couple of years ago, and it was a game-changer. They work with the Peloton, and they are loud.

The best part for me is that the minimal design means no wires, nothing around my neck, and none of the issues I found annoying with other earbuds and headphones.

Connecting Airpods to Peloton Bike or Tread

AirPods revolutionized how we listen to music, making it convenient with their wireless design. As technology continues to move forward and become more intertwined with our daily lives, connecting your AirPods to your Peloton has become a breeze.

Using Bluetooth technology, you can easily connect your AirPods to your Peloton bike in just a few simple steps.

The first step is to ensure that both of your devices are powered on and within range of each other. 

Open your AirPods and press the pairing button on the back of them. 

 Then open Bluetooth on the Peloton bike. It's under settings in the top right corner of the bike screen console, and select "Bluetooth Devices" from the menu.

Once you have selected this option, find "AirPods" in the list of available devices and click on it. 

Your AirPods will then be connected to the console and ready for use!

After this, you should be all set!

Once you pair them the first time, they should appear as an available device in the Peloton Bluetooth settings.

But I will admit, technology only sometimes works so smoothly, and once in a while, I have had issues with them connecting easily.

This is not unique to the AirPods, I have had issues with the Peloton heart rate monitor, and I have also had the same problems with my other Bluetooth speakers.

This is more of a Bike thing than an issue with the AirPods, but I will share some of my troubleshooting tips.

Using these tips, I am always able to get back going quickly.

Troubleshooting when AirPods won't connect to the Peloton

The first step is refreshing the Bluetooth on the Peloton.

If this does nothing, I turn the Bluetooth on and off.

Still nothing? Sometimes I have to reboot the bike. Especially if there has recently been an update.

If somebody is nearby with AirPods and they open their previously paired AirPods, it can kick yours off.

Sometimes I make the bike forget my husband's AirPods if I need more help connecting (sorry, husband!).

He can always pair them again later.

You can also forget your AirPods on the bike and pair them again from scratch. If you see them there, this is an option, but they just won't connect.

Another option is to ensure the Bluetooth is not defaulting and connecting to another speaker.

Make sure to hit disconnect on that device name in the Peloton Bluetooth settings.

Sometimes I also have found that disconnecting my AirPods from my phone helps. Especially if I have my phone right there next to the bike.

Another issue I have encountered with my AirPods is that they sometimes connect, but the volume is low. I am still trying to understand why this happens. 

Usually, the troubleshooting tips above will solve the volume issue as well.

Note that the AirPods volume during a ride is controlled by the Peloton's volume control on the side of the bike touch screen.

Other headphone options for Peloton

If you're looking for a way to listen to your favorite music while riding on the Peloton, AirPods are an excellent choice. They provide high-quality sound that will make your ride more enjoyable. 

To connect them, hold down the button on the back of the case until it begins flashing white, then select "AirPods" from your Bluetooth device list in settings.

But there are other options for headphones, too – wired or wireless, depending on what suits you best. Wired headphones offer better sound quality but can be cumbersome if you're cycling hard.

Wireless headphones provide convenience, comfort, and noise isolation, so you won't disturb anyone nearby. Some brands even have models specifically designed for sports activities like running or biking - perfect for use with Peloton!

No matter which option, having a good pair of headphones makes any exercise session much more enjoyable.

Conclusion

You can connect AirPods and AirPods Pro to the Peloton cycle or Tread; for me, it is my favorite way to ride.

I love the loud volume and the fact that the bike sound is not bothering anyone else.

This is especially handy while my kids are playing nearby, and the rides can be explicit.

While there can be some minor issues connecting with Bluetooth on the bike, these issues are not unique to AirPods and are easy to solve with the troubleshooting tips above.

The AirPods hold up fine, are not obtrusive during a ride, and sweat doesn't affect them.

Amazon's Fire TV has been great, but the TV remote that came with it is tiny and slippery. 

Apple's Siri remote is also incredibly smooth and small.

Cord cutting is fantastic, and I look forward to writing more about it in the future, but it has led to us getting rid of all our bulky remotes and simplifying the use of these small ones.

I love the simplicity and aesthetics of both remotes, but they need help to get through.

Especially if you have little kids like mine who take them and drop them somewhere, then act clueless when you can't find the remote.

We also have a giant sectional couch, and our TV remote has been getting lost in the couch weekly, if not more.

I wrote this article way before this excellent product was available, but now a case allows you to put an AirTag in it.

If you lose your remote, you will recover it quickly.

This case is bulkier and heavier since it has room for an air tag. It also has a cord attached and is only compatible with the newer Apple TV Siri remote.

Other solutions for the missing remote problem

If you don't like either of these covers or don't want a cover on your remote, you have a few other options.

You can take velcro and attach it to your remote and then put velcro somewhere where you would like to place your remote daily. Attach the velcro to your TV, TV stand, the wall, or anywhere.

Buy a remote holder, something like this. If you have several remotes to keep track of, there are holders you can buy and put on your couch or coffee table.

Or you can get a remote holder which attaches to the TV or wall like this one.

Attach the small remote to a larger remote (if you need one) with rubber bands.

If you lost your Apple TV remote for good, there is an Apple app for your phone that you can use as your remote. We have done this a lot.

Otherwise, you must buy a new one.

I have also lost my Fire TV remote, and we own a couple now.

All of my remotes now have a cover on them, though, and we lose them much less now.

It would help if you also had a decent internet connection to use Roblox voice chat smoothly. 

The minimum recommended speed is 1 Mbps for both upload and download speeds, though faster speeds are preferable. 

If your connection is slow or unstable, it can cause lagging, distortion, or disconnection during voice chats.

Finally, if you're playing with other people on Roblox, ensure everyone has enabled their mic and accepted permission to use it within the game. Once everyone has done this correctly, you should be ready to start chatting!

Finding users with voice chat

Eligible, age-verified, 13+ users will see a microphone icon next to the user name and above the avatar of other users with voice chat enabled.

Users will not otherwise be able to see who does or does not have a voice chat.

Troubleshooting tips for poor audio quality

A slow internet connection is one of the most common reasons for poor audio quality in Roblox voice chat.

If you're having trouble hearing or being heard on Roblox, try testing your connection speed and make sure it's fast enough to support voice chat. 

You may need to upgrade your service plan or switch providers if it isn't. Additionally, if you're connected to WiFi, try changing to an Ethernet connection for better sound quality.

In addition to checking your internet connection, ensure all your audio settings are correctly configured in-game. Check the Roblox audio settings menu and adjust the volume level and microphone sensitivity as needed. 

You can also turn off any other applications using the microphone or speakers, so they don't interfere with Roblox's audio performance.

Finally, you still need help with poor audio quality in Roblox voice chat. In that case, it could be caused by hardware issues such as a malfunctioning microphone or headset. 

Try plugging in different hardware components one at a time until you find the source of the problem. Once you've identified the faulty piece of hardware, you can repair or replace it.

Reporting, blocking, and disconnecting from voice chat

Now that you have enabled and learned how to use Roblox voice chat, it is essential to understand the reporting and disconnecting processes.

You can mute another user in a voice chat by clicking the microphone icon that will appear over their avatar's head. Mutes only apply to voice chat, not text chat, and will only last while you are in that experience session.

To disable the chat with spatial voice feature, follow the instructions below:

• Go to Account Settings
• Select the Privacy Tab
• Toggle the voice chat selector to OFF

  • While you are in the chat with spatial voice you can toggle it back on at any time to re-enable voice chat.

Finally, remember that voice chat should always be used responsibly - respect others online and never use it for harassment or inappropriate behavior.
