Here is some information from Peloton on who is eligible to give out a referral code:
- Any active Peloton Bike or Tread Members can participate in this program. “Active” status is determined by Peloton and will be indicated by a referral code tab shown in the user’s web profile. This includes Bike or Tread owners with active Memberships, other Members in their households, and studio users. App users are not eligible for this referral program at this time.
- Peloton employees are not eligible to participate in this Referral Program.
- Referral credits may only be used for purchases on https://apparel.onepeloton.com and are not valid for any additional purchases of Hardware that you buy for yourself.

Terms of using a Peloton Referral Code
A Peloton user can give out six referral codes a year.
You can do this if you are an app user, only an all-access user.
The referral code can be used to buy accessories bought at the same time as the Bike or Tread and must be entered at checkout.
It must be used simultaneously as the purchase of the Bike or Tread. It cannot be applied retroactively.
If you purchase hardware at a showroom with a referral code, you can let an employee know, and they will apply it for you at the time of purchase. This is how I did it in 2017 when I bought my first bike!
If you have shared a referral code, you will get an email with your $100 apparel discount voucher within a few days. The voucher is good for 6 months.
